Senior Accountant – Full-Time | Sharjah, UAE

Mimar Models is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for finance professionals with strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and ensuring the company’s financial records remain accurate and up to date. Your key duties will include:

• Lead and supervise daily accounting operations.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger.
• Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage accounts receivable by processing invoices, recording customer payments, and monitoring collections.
• Handle invoice verification, processing, and documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams to improve accounting processes.
• Assist in audits and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff while promoting best accounting practices.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• UAE accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience in the modeling, creative, or design industry is an added advantage.
• Relevant accounting degree or professional certification is preferred.
