Key Responsibilities

As a Branch Accountant, you will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records while supporting the branch’s financial performance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Manage daily branch accounting activities and financial operations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Prepare and update the general ledger (GL).
• Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
• Ensure proper account classification and reconciliation.
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Monitor financial accuracy and internal controls.

General Ledger Management

You will:

• Record journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile account balances.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support month-end closing activities.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Your duties include:

• Prepare customer invoices.
• Record incoming payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances.
• Maintain customer account records.
• Support collection activities.
• Reconcile receivable accounts.

Accounts Payable (AP)

You will be responsible for:

• Processing supplier invoices.
• Verifying invoice accuracy.
• Maintaining vendor records.
• Preparing payment documentation.
• Supporting timely supplier payments.
• Managing accounts payable records.

Invoice & Payment Processing

Key responsibilities include:

• Review invoices and supporting documents.
• Record invoices in accounting software.
• Process payment transactions.
• Update accounting records.
• Track payment status.
• Maintain organized financial documentation.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience as a Branch Accountant or in a similar accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Financial Transaction Processing
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and deadlines.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following will be an advantage:

• UAE or Dubai accounting experience.
• Retail or commercial business accounting experience.
